All kidding aside, there might actually be something to be said for this sort of division of playtesting labour (toned down a little from what's in the article, of course!).

Thing is, it sounds like a fun system that has been made up, lol. Maybe somebody really need to create a game based on this thread.

The sad/great thing is, the OP got me more excited about "Ranger Wickett Edition" than anything I've read from WotC so far. I really really dig the stunt system. Seriously, if he wrote that up and sold it as PDF I'd dump it in my 13th Age playtest rules and I won't need 5E.

Oh man, I'm so sad this was an April Fools joke. I liked those rules. I think they'd be a great foundation for a non-D&D fantasy role-playing game.
