This. What is even the point or the goal in reposting someone else's ravings?

You know, my battered copies of The Complete Book of Humanoids and The Complete Spacefarer's Handbook and The Planewalker's Handbook would like to have a word with all the people saying that "real D&D" wasn't just as much of an endless parade of circus freaks as the WotC editions. Frankly, moreso, and I've always viewed WotC's homogenization of the weirder elements of TSR's legacy as one of their biggest moral failings.

Maybe it is because I did not see the rest of the discussion, but I don't even understand what he is trying to say.

FWIW I have played A LOT of AD&D 1E and A LOT of 5E and a substantial amount of both 2E and 3E and I don't really understand this paragraph at all.

Some people play tieflings, which is unoriginal, which is the worst thing you can do in DnD. You should play traditional, Tolkeinesque characters using combinations of class features that have never been seen before. /s
