Solar Wrath

It's in line with most other paragon encounters. Most of these are more powerful than a level 5 daily.

Staying with the cleric, I'd point out that the Angelic Avenger has nearly as strong a close burst. 2D8 instead of 3D8, same zone but he has a class features that makes it fun to spread damage...

The War priest has a simple close blast 1 but it also allows him and every bloodied allies to spend a healing surge. In a melee focused team, this can turn the tide even more than Solar's wrath. The divine Oracle encounter almost guarantees a critical hit. Doesn't seem like much unless your party happens to include a rogue or ranger using a vicious weapon...

Solar Wrath is pretty damn good ability; it's a no-brainer to use and will have a substantial impact on any fight that includes more than one foe, even more so against undead or demon. But with the right party build and/or in the right circumstances, Prophecy of Doom (Divine oracle) or Battle Cry (War Priest) can actually be substantially stronger.
