Ebert & Roeper
Someone said it's not being screened for critics, but it obviously was screened for Ebert and Roeper, and probably all the other critics out there.
They both loved the film, said it was very thoughtful and thought provoking. They didn't even seem to bother to compare it to the '72 version which suggests that it was good enough to stand on its own, wether you like the original film or not (curiously, they called it a remake of the '72 version and didn't mention Lem's original book at all - Ebert at least is usually eriudite enough to be up on such things, I guess everyone can't know everything...). They also said it's a much shorter film then the original one and tells the story very effeciently, so it my seem less boring to those who didn't like the original.
I can't wait to see it. Soderbergh is one of the best directors out there working today.
