Knowing who is attracted to whom and why they are or are not acting on it can give you a lot of useful information...

1) It tells you nothing of why they are or are not attracted. It can only tell you whether they will act on their attraction given the opportunity.

2) I guess I failed to indicate that it only applies to the caster--you can't tell if A is interested in B or not.

It still gives you some leverage when dealing with a person. A higher level version could apply to third parties...

Social situations are the main potential uses for these, such as making someone misbehave and break a social taboo. The cloud could make a party much more interesting...

True. I originally designed it as a innate ability for monsters like Succubi, higher level versions wouldn't make any sense in that regard.

Or you could allow the spellcaster to make a sense motive roll and give them a bonus to the roll to figure out some of the targets' hidden motivations.
