I think Mr. Dancey has a point, but I don't think another publisher could out do Avalanche's covers, at least if they want their cover on the shelf and not behind the counter or something....


OTOH, they're definitely eye-catching...


I wonder what the cover for their real-world religion book is going to look like?

If you read the thread, it is fairly obvious that I don't have a problem with the covers.

Dancey has one point that I find spectacularly on the mark - the Oreo comment. The rest is an opinion [much more educated than mine, however]. It will be interesting to see if they continue with this approach and if so, how successful they will be.
