Some PC designs bouncing in my head...

Correct. So you can take a feat like Weapon Focus or Expertise more than once, but not Hybrid Talent. The only way to get it twice, as I mentioned before, is Hybrid Paragon.

I suspect, then, that my PC will only be taking it once, since the Warforged Juggernaught looks like it would be the way to go after 10th level.

The pact boon is soooo much for just a feat. Since with the pact boon, you also qualify for conditional powers.

Some powers have an indented portion at the bottom that alters what it does if you have a specific pact. If you take the feat to become Infernally pacted, then you also qualify for those extra little bumps. Usually those are quite worth having.

That is on top of near constant HP's, and you can take feats at Paragon to expand your pact options even *more*.

The armor would be nice, but if you put a decent score in your Str, with your racial bonus you will likely qualify for heavier armors pretty handily.

As a general rule, any time you roll a damage die, you add the static mods. You only add the attribute modifier if the power specifically says so. Hellish Rebuke says 1d6 + Con on both the effect and the rider, so the static mods will apply to both.

I was under the impression you'd only add static mods when you *hit* with a power. Hellish rebuke extra damage is specifically an effect that occurs without the need for another hit. I wouldn't give it any bonuses from item enhancement bonuses for example.

If I'm not mistaken, hybrid warlocks already qualify for pact based riders. The only thing you get from the hybrid talent is the actual pact boon. I'm not sure this is the best use of the hybrid talent feat. In most cases I'd probably take shadow walk over the pact boon for extra defenses.

I hear what you're saying about the Pact...but if I don't go with Battlemind Armor, I'm going to have to burn feats to get Hellbox/Box to wear heavier armor- as a Hybrid, he'll only start off with Cloth & Leather- and there are LOTS of feats that play into this build.

I say that, knowing that the Pact is probably the better mechanical/flavor choice, but I'm still going to have to explore other options before I decide.

Besides, being "Infernally Pacted" sounds like a painful condition.

Hah!

I see what you're saying, but it's literally just one feat to get Chain proficiency and a second feat to get Scale. It's only a 1 point AC difference between these two. On the other hand, it's impossible to get the Pact Boon any other way. I know you want to cover a lot of ground with this - but chain is a perfectly good armor type, especially if you are snagging temp HPs left and right. :)

Just re-read the Armor feats. Armor Prof Chainmail has a prereq of proficiency with Leather OR Hide, not Leather AND Hide- my bad!

Nope. Most items, feats, etc modify "damage rolls".

Are -you- rolling for damage (not a game effect, like ongoing damage)?
Does the damage qualify via keywords?

Then you get to add the bonus in. If not, not.

So yeah, Flaming Sphere, Hellish Rebuke, and the like get to add in your modifiers to damage rolls, which can, rather, add up.

Tommy Bahamut is beginning to take a bit more shape in my mind.

Thematically, I think Hybrid Bard/Seeker is the way to go, with an emphasis on weapons like throwing axes and javelins.
