I hope you can help me out. In two days we will play D20 Modern (I play an 5th level Investigatortype-Mage) and severall things came to my mind.
Scribe Scroll & Brew Potion:
The Wealth cost seems a bit on the higher side but still ok as long as you are not able to simply buy them (same cost???). But what I find really strange is the high XP cost for Scrolls & Brew Potion.
Caster LVL * Spell LVL (*2 for Potions) would be like DnD so why did they include the Wealth DC? A factor of 15+ to DnD seems much to high, even when they wanted to have fewer Scrolls and Potions in a D20 Modern Setting.
Nonlethal Damage House-Rule:
We haven't played a D20 Modern session now but my group agrees that we don't like the non-lethal damage rules. So we sayed that we mix the Rules from DnD and D20 Modern. The hit makes Subdual Damage and when you get more damage with one hit than you have Con then you have to roll a Fort-Save (15) or you are knocked out.
Is this rule ok?
