A side passage leads farther into the heart of the mountain and a light source can be seen farther along its way. Star motions for everyone to listen. Once still, everyone can hear the sounds of mining tools being used. Star and Oorvid can also hear voices. They have the deep harsher sound of those belonging to Mhytres. The new path is the only choice for continuing to move forward.</p><p></p><p>As the party continues toward the sounds of the work, this path has many more dead-ended offshoots. It is obviously an active mine, but a very very deep one. The open area becomes much larger like a room with some natural columns supporting the open area. Maka and Wrenn can both smell burning oil or guano, indicating that the light sources are natural rather than magical. No longer needing their own source of light the party moves close enough to witness that the work is forced labor. The overlords are average in height but tall for Mhytres, a deep mahogany color, and very muscular, even the females. Unlike other Mhytres, the males have shaved their faces and all are bald, even the females. There are four males and four females forcing a group of about 20 Aedamans to mine for ore.[gm]NOTE: As this game went inactive for quite some time, there have been changes in some of the nomenclature.
