Somebody should make a character whose goal is to find all the stat increasing items! And some DM should let them!

Somebody should make a character whose quest is to find the fabled stat increasing items. Such as Belts of Strength, Headbands of Intellect, etc... All items should put the stat at 19.

What type of character would have this goal? A Bard? A Wizard? I think the quest of find the items needs to related to the character class.

What race do you think this character would be? I would picture either Human, Elf, Half-Elf, or Gnome.

Once all 6 power items are assembled it should cost 3 attunement slots to wear them all.

And some DM out there should allow this to be a character's quest goal.
Just imagine the jealous party!

Hey, man, I am upset. Blikkenord has like 3 magical items that set his stats to 19 each. His dump stat of Charisma is now a 19. What in the actual heck, man?!?

Ooh! Instead of that, I can make it so all such items from the same manufacturer use the same attunement slot.

So like, once you find a Tiara of Towering Cerebration you'll be on the lookout for the similarly pompously named belt of giant strength crafted by Hyperion . . . I shouldv'e used a different example. I have so much more fun naming Bandit items. Witness:

Smarteepantz Trucker Kap.

Oh, and be on the lookout for a Calibrated Tiara of Towering Cerebration if you want to bump up youy Intelligence even higher

. . . Dull as Cowboyz Trucker Kap (Too fun! This cursed item sets your Int to 8, btw)

I officially declare this a PbP thread. And as the DM, I am awarding you ALL EVERY MAGIC ITEM IN THE BOOK!

The set uses the same attunement slot, eh? Well tickle me pink and call me dolly! I'll take 5! YEE HAW!

I mean, that's assuming you can find them all. The Spectacles of Profound Perspicacity were eaten by a skag, for example. But yeah, making a set of items that all use the same attunement slot sounds like an awesome idea.

Hyperion's Regalia of Robust Attributes could actually be a thing.

YOU can make the character and persuade your DM. (I recommend you get the CHR-boosting item first and then ask the DM, "Five more...?" so you can make it sound like a really good idea.)

Character class: a Paladin who unleashed such a scathing insult upon some people that he drew their creator-god's unhappy / offended attention for those words, and has to atone?

Some other options.

One magic item that can be enhanced. You don't have to attune to each part of the Rod of Seven Parts.

Think of the Infinity Gauntlet. You could have a crown with spots for gems. Each gem gives an ability increase. Call it the Crown of Perfection. You are only attuning to one item. But it can be enhanced.

Another option, instead of items, what about boons? Perhaps a warlock has a pact with some alien power that demands and help you achieve perfections. E.g., otherworldly patron features for an otherworldly perfectionist partron:

DRIVEN TO PERFECTION. At first level get 19 for any chosen ability score. Then another ability score is increased to 19 at 4th level, again at 8th level, 12th, 16th, and 19th. This replaces the normal ability score improvement for these levels. Also, your patron will not allow you to multiclass or to take a feat.

PERFECTION DICE. Starting at 6th level you a pool of perfection dice, 1+your warlock level. As a bonus action, you can temporarily improve the skill of one creature you can see within 60 feet of you, increasing the result of any skill check or saving throw, spending dice from the pool. The maximum number of dice you can spend at once equals your Charisma modifier (minimum of one die). Roll the dice you spend, add them together, and at that to the creatures ability check or saving throw roll. Your pool regains all expended dice when you finish a long rest.

OF SOUND MIND AND BODY. Starting at 10th level, once per long rest, when you fail a saving throw, you can choose to succeed.

CONQUEOR THE INFERIOR. Starting at 14th level you can use a bonus action to make your superiority evident to those around you, loosening their resolve and confidence. Until your next turn, you have advantage on attackes against any creature that can see you and they have disadvantage on attacks made against you and on all saving throws until the end of your next turn.
