Before it got out, I was a big defender of the BoEF. And then, after seeing what it was, I changed my mind.

Well, that's what someone with half a brain should always do: see what something actually is before passing judgement, right ?

Well, the only thing that I thought was good was the Appearance score, and you don't need a book for a single stat. What they should have done, is create a book about role-playing in general, you know, rules and fluff that deal with stuff outside of combat, PC-NPC interactions, and THEN do a small chapter about sex, and THEN introduce the appearance score. Now THAT'S a book I would have bought.

So... yeah.

I'd rather treat Appearance the way Unisystem does - its a feat you can take. Gives you a bonus on social skills vs. the opposite gender, stackable if you want to take it multiple times. Dunno about ugly characters - d20 doesn't have any kind of drawback or disadvantage system.

Still don't see a need for any rules around sex. We fade to black for those kinds of scenes, and have no need for more.

I couldn't agree more. Especially considering my group is all hetero guys.

(Btw, that link has a really disgusting pic when you scroll down, not sure if its worth a warning or not. Didn't offend me, but you never know about other's sensibilities.)

Heh - yeah, people should beware SA if they are easily offended, there's some messed up stuff on there. I think the site is hilarious myself, but you never can tell about some folks.
