Somewhat disappointed already (Gen Con Releases)...

Greyscott, don't despair, we will be out soon. We want to make sure that things are totally awesome. Come by the Goodman Games booth and you can meet myself and Dave Arneson as well as pick up an autographed copy of the module Dave wrote for the con called Dungeon Crawl Classics #3.5 "The Haunted Lighthouse". I have read it and it's hilarious!!!

Stop by, I would love to meet you and fill you in on Blackmoor related stuff.

And don't forget to check out the "World of Blackmoor" session with Dave and myself on Friday from 11-12pm

Whoa.. wait.. The Haunted Lighthouse is ONLY available at the con?! I don't want to miss out on it just because I have a full time job and bills to pay. Hopefully I read that wrong...

Thanks
Chris

Invitations Accepted

Chris, I'll definitely swing by and check out "The Last Hero...", it sounds great and it's a product I had not heard of (although word-of-mouth is that Rune is pretty good!)

And Dustin - thanks for the invite - I'll be by the booth, check up on Blackmoor D20, and absolutely pick up "The Haunted Lighthouse (cover by Erol!)

Thanks for the replies guys, and I am looking forward to seeing your stuff at GenCon!

what is "the fall of man"

I gather it is not D20? Is it a RPG?

Fall of Man will be d20 and is a RPG amongst itself using the d20 rules but alos using a lot of stuff we tweaked for this grim n gritty post apocolyptic fantasy setting. We will have information and demos at GenCon and be releasing more info as we get closer to launch (December 2003). It is real cool and I think we have hit on something fun and deadly.

I was ready to drop significant money on some "pre-release" material at GenCon, but the list of casualties continues:
Mindshadows/Green Ronin
Skull & Bones/Green Ronin
M&M - ANYTHING!/Green Ronin

Don't despair entirely, Greyscott. While Mindshadows itself is slightly behind schedule, Monsters of the Mind (the psionic bestiary) will be available ("hot off the presses") and we also have the 3.5 Updated Character Record Folio, and the print version of The Game Mechanics' Artifacts of the Ages. Meanwhile Unholy Warrior's Handbook, Testament, and Fang & Fury just released a couple of weeks ago. It's not like we won't have anything new. :)

As for M&M, I can't get you any new books just yet, but how about some Cosmo the Moon Monkey plushies, or new Mutants & Masterminds logo shirts? I'll have both of those items at GenCon for sure! :D

Oh, hell. There goes the budget again. Just take my wallet and gimmee the monkey, okay?

(And a T-shirt.)

I'm just going to tell my wife I got mugged in the dealer's room, she'll understand...

Chris, you'll be happy to hear that LAST HERO is in fact done, in spite of a major printing press breakdown (which also waylaid some other RPG publishers' Gen Con releases). Our printer actually dropped off our copies here at the Atlas warehouse today, and a box of books is en route, 2nd Day Air, to our team at Gen Con. The booth crew should get them sometime Friday (though, depending on delivery time and the usual hassles of receiving stuff at a hotel, it may not actually be on sale until Saturday...though if you track down Michelle late Friday, say at the ENnie awards, she may have copies).

Awesome! I shall attempt to be urbane and genteel when I ask Michelle about it. "CanIseeit?Huh?Huh?Huh?Whereisit?GimmeeGimmeeGimmeeNOW!" is so embarrassing.

So, uh, how does it look? And did you see Ken Hite's review of Dynasties yet?

twitchily yours,

Redline/FFG
Sorcery & Steam/FFG
ANYTHING!/Privateer Press

Maybe I'm missing something, but I actually handled some of these books at Gen Con. They were out, visible, and available for purchase. I flipped through Redline and Sorcery & Steam, and Privateer Press did put out Warmachine and Lock & Load: The Iron Kingdoms Character Primer.
