Soneillon. Part 1 (Updated 6/15)

You may already be aware of this, but if not: Wizards has been running a series of "Fey Features" on the D&D web site. You might glean some useful tidbits for your campaign.

WotC "Fey Features" aren't very good if you ask me. Take the PrC for example.
8 level PrC.
There are abilities listed that it never gets (Discern Location) and the example character (Ice) has 10 levels of the PrC.
If the material isn't finished, why put it on the website in the first place?
Apart from the mechanics there are a couple of texts, all of which are focused on a fey queen and her court. Not much of value to get from them either.
Changling: The Dreaming is the best source of information about fey, though you have to sort out usuable fey info from WoD only stuff.

You are posting this on a thread devoted to a story hour that consists of nothing but text?(*) Now that is ironic.

(*) It's really rockin' text but it's still "just text."

What I meant was that the text written on the subject by WotC aren't very good. You get more out of reading old stories about fey, Changling: The Dreaming or this story hour than reading their texts.

poetry bump

When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wondered.
Honor the charge they made,
Honor the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred.

If you have any ideas, both Lombard and I would really appreciate it. We keep going round in circles over this. New perspectives would be most welcome...

Well, I'm back.

I just can't seem to stay away. I haven't thought of a title for the thread yet - I guess something will come in due course. Perversely, my enthusiasm for writing has been rekindled in the face of otherwise having to edit the other document (remember, when you were in school, washing dishes was preferable to doing homework? - it's kind of like that).

(Edit: good thinking PC. The other threads are linked below)

{snip}

Virtue 1
Virtue 2
Heretic 1
Heretic 2
Rape 1

Ok, I'm slightly confused, is this thread the direct continuation of the last thread listed above or am I missing something?

After reading this thread's initial post, it feels like the story fast forwarded past several key things, which might be how Sep intended it but it doesn't state that anywhere.

{EDIT}

Err, never mind. I found it. Sep you might want to add a Rape 2 to the above list.

It confusing to go from Rape 1's Final Update to this thread.

Cheers!

I know I've weighed in on this thread before with kudos, but I thought I'd offer them again. We just started budget season in earnest here in CA, so I'm going to be at leg hearings more or less constantly over the coming weeks. Often times it's four hours of blah blah blah waiting for your item to come up, only they break for the day right as they get to it.

Thankfully grodog had sent me the doc files of the collective story, so I downloaded them to my Pocket PC, and now I have something to pass those long, long hours in story bliss. Two hearings down, and I'm half-way through the second "The Heretic of Wyre" thread.

Thanks again to the author and to grodog for collecting the files.

Hey Lazybones are you a CA state rep? Maybe I voted for you ;)

You're quite welcome, though without Sep's wonderful writing skills and his willingness to share them, I wouldn't have anything to complie (and all of our lives would be less enriched)!

Whew.

I finally am up to date with this great story hour. Nice work, Sep. This and P'Cat's story hour should be enough to sustain my story hour obsession... for now.

Cheers!
