Soooooo windy!

Anyone in South Central Wisconsin -- what the heck is up with this wind?? It's been going on for hours and weather.com says it's going to keep up the rest of the night and all day tomorrow! It's freakish!

It's realy bad in Chicago. I had trouble crossing the street into the wind, and flags and most signs are horozontal.

40 mile an hour winds is far from normal winter weather, especialy when it's almost 60 out.

We had some pretty strong winds in Ohio last Sunday. Same sort of conditions it seems, pretty mild for early November.

The reason is that there's a fairly strong low-pressure system over western Lake Superior right now (it's actually snowing in Duluth). When you get a low like that, the winds around it tend to get very strong, for several hundred miles in radius around the center of the low.

It's been windy as heck here in Chicago since yesterday evening. All the leaves have been stripped off the trees now.

It's so windy here in Ohio today my ballcap literally flew right off my head.
I had to chase it across the lot this morning, which is a pretty funny sight.

I just saw the Bears kicker miss a field goal from inside the 20... that almost went out the sideline.
