Sorceror Improvement

I've heard of that approach, but it doesn't really appeal to me. You see, sorcerors who then multiclass into a prc lose too MUCH as a sor10/prc10 vs a sor20 is 10! spells behind. Sorcerors really don't get very many spells as it is, my fix improves that aspect by giving them more (at higher levels).

Your fix seems like it would just be discouraging to be a sorceror at all (no offense).

Actually, my proposal would reduce the number of spells cast per day, not the number of spells known. A Sor 10/PrC10 would thus be able to cast 6/6/6/6/6/5/5/5/5/5 spells per day instead of 6/6/6/6/6/6/6/6/6/6 spells per day (he gives up one spell per day from levels 5 to 9). The number of spells known would still remain the same (9/5/5/4/4/4/3/3/3/3).

In that case I'm not sure its enough of an incentive to stay sorceror ;) I'm not trying to be argumentative, just trying to give people a reason to play a straight sor.

I did an article in the latest d20zine about sorcerers and basically sorcerers get 1 extra spell known per spell level. But the choice is 1 of 3 spells per spell level and the spells are determined by the bloodline (of which there are 7).

The bloodline is the things, as in the article sorcerers get access to bloodline feats and some of these feats have a use for extra spell slots in the day to power feat abilities.

Working on article 2 at the moment which looks at sorcerer PrCs for each bloodline and roleplaying tips on such things as appearance and temperament due to their bloodline.
