SOrry it must have been asked before or even been adressed on some place but have no time to search.

I need to know how it work.

(Need to apply it at a spell when I get the level for(when I can cast spell lvl 6 I canput a maximed firebal in it?)(or When I have fireball as lvl 3 I can use it maximized as a level 6 or higher if I have the feat?)

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.

If you're a sorcerer who knows Fireball, and has some metamagic feats, you can either cast normal fireballs or metamagic ones. When casting the spell normally, you still use up a 3rd-level slot. When casting Maximized Fireball, you use up a 6th-level slot. (If you have no 6th-level slots yet, you cannot cast Maximized Fireball.)

Also note that when you apply metamagic to a spontaneously cast spell, it increases the casting time of the spell somewhat.
