Source of the Bullette?

This might be a silly question, but just what line of plastic toys were these? I've never heard or seen of such, although pocket monsters might come close . . . .

I don't think I've ever seem a name, but I have seen people say they've picked them up from dollar stores as recently as last year.

Interesting. I used to own a couple of the bulettes and rust monsters (different color schemes on the bulettes- green and brown on one; don't remember the other; bluish, I think). Didn't know what they were for a long time, even after I started playing D&D (found out about the RM first, and thought it was an odd coinky-dink. When I discovered the Bulette in AD&D later, I began to put two and two together).

I never saw or heard of an Owlbear toy, though.
