What was the Lucy Controversy?

In addition to what Celebrim mentions, I think Lucy was the first series in which the word "pregnant" was uttered - Lucy got pregnant during filming, and they dealt with it in the series, which was rare. It may have also been the first show in which a married couple were not shown as having seperate twin beds in their bedroom... Pretty silly stuff, looking at it from 2007.

Also of some slight interest is War of the Worlds. The movie is partially set in LA. And I also heartily recommend Dragnet. Everyone should be flinging around the catchphrase 'just the facts, ma'am.' (Because everyone did.)
