Spam: Out of the Inbox and into...the campaign?!

It seems that even with the best filters out there, we still get numerous spam emails during any given week (or day for others). Maybe you've got a separate account to reduce the spam from your preferred email addy or maybe you just delete as you go along. Well, I was deleting some today and I had to snicker at how one of them read. You know how these subject lines are poorly disguised and this one was too funny: Go clean an lariat wildfire

"Hmm," I thought, "That sounds like some sort of wacky code phrase. I'm sure that could work in my game as something!"

Below are some other recent spam subject lines. How would you recycle them into your game? Perhaps you could use a line for thieves' cant. Or maybe the phrases are part of a sci-fi culture's alien language. The possibilities are endless.

Oh, come now, folks. I thought this might be a fun little exercise in creativity. If you don't want to decipher, how about adding a spam line?

"Grow yourself a bigger pen-1s" These rare Chult bird's have long hollow bones perfect for pens and quills, or fancy arrows.

"Refinance your sword loan!" nothing tricky here, sometimes you just want a bigger sword

"Hello, I am a Thayan Knight, my kingdom needs your help and I am willing to give you 4000000 denumbian wooden dollars without any strings attatched!"

"with want to placate" sounds like something you would find in some very poorly written instructions on what your next mission is about... "from hence travel past the citie ov Plonk, south-wise along the waters edge to find there the urgrot, with want to placate".

I used to use my spam emails to write haiku. The rules are, you can cut and paste any 5 or 7 syllable phrase out of a spam email and paste it without changing the word order into a haiku form.

For example:

do you hate photo
fetish minded guys and girls
Damn you Scuba Steve!

I'd post more, but they tend to be fairly rude most of the time, due to the source material.

As much as half of my spam has eye-catching subject lines such as: »«H¥ó³y¦¨±zªº§xÂZ©Î¤£«K½Ð¦h¦h¥]²[!!

Even most of the remainder can be nearly as unintelligible, but here are a couple that I hadn't yet cleared out of the "Deleted Items" folder:

On can my saying reshuffle
These words are out of order because I can actually say them

His find no shay topicality
He doesn't like to talk about the chaise lounge

Gorenimo!
Sounds like a great name for an NPC to me
