With the druids restrictions on armour , what spells,feats and armour's would you recomend for my druid so that as he progresses in level he doesn't get left behind in the armour race, particularly in a wild shape. I've got expertise, dodge and superior expertise on the card's what spells etc can compliment that?

p.s. with iron wood can I actually ware a brest plate of wood transformed into iron , isn't it still a restricted armour type .

I read the parenthetical limitation ("thus, [druids] may wear only padded, leather, or hide armor)" to refer only to normal armors. The parenthetical in the next paragraph expressly permits druids to use ironwood items. Further, the spell description expressly states that ironwood items "are freely usable by druids", giving wooden plate armor as an example. Since breastplate is a medium armor and druids are proficient in medium armor, you're good to go.

(Of course, the ironwood spell decription also lists a longsword as an example, which is still prohibited by the spiritual oaths, but that's a different kettle of fish.)

Druids can definitely wear ironwood armor. The actual restriction on armor the face is this: "[druids] are prohibited from wearing metal armor". Period. The stuff in parentheses about only being able to wear certain types is a *result* of the restriction, not an addition to it.

Thus, since ironwood armor is not made of metal, they may wear it.
