OMG, I saw a news story about that fish this week... can't remember if it was ABC. I think I've heard mention of the little guy before too.

It's hilarious when you consider that ABC's slogan is "When it matter's most.";)

Are you trying to say that cutting-edge improvements in ichthyo-veterinary science aren't vitally important news?

I think any story about an animal that does an amazing thing or survives despite the odds are important. Too many times I have to hear stories about animals being treated horribly. This week, there was a pup (maybe 6 monthes at most) found that was so emaciated and not able to move a muscle... it looked like mummified remains. Some people found it in a box and tried to take care of it, but had to give it over to the ASPCA, where they were treating it (they even gave it a blood tranfusion after it's heart stopped) and it looked like it was going to pull through (they showed him with his head up and getting pet... he looked like he was in heaven), but then they found out through X-rays that the poor thing had eaten wire and metal (probably was so hungry, he ate anything he could find) and there was nothing they could do, so they put it to sleep.:( So, I say "bring on the super fish"... the fact that those people care so much about it is wonderful.

Sorry to be kinda preachy, but this week I finally decided that I want have a career that involves animals, so you can see they're a passion of mine. ;)

piratecats teachers always gave him plenty of time to think....
