Special circumstance improvised weapons

I asked this over on The Game Mechanics' message board, but I figured I'd like to get a wider variety of opinions, and maybe other questions, as well...

To start off...

How much damage do you think a Fire Extinguisher shot would do to a Fire Elemental, or other such flamey critter?
What about Halon?

What other special circumstance improvised weapons can you think of?

Well, it seems a bit like a reversed Flamethrower. (Wasn`t it: No attack roll, Reflex Save DC 15 for half damage, 3d6 points of damage?)
Depending on the type of the weapon, vary the damage from 1d6 to 3d6.

For the halon, I'd probably give it 3 or 4d6 per round. Maybe even make it have a fort save or go straight to incapacitated, as if it took damage over its CON score, even if it doesn't take enough to trigger the check.

Hey, C. Blaize, another way to go about this is the d20 Modern Monster Weakness system. You could say that the Fire Elemental has an aversion to fire extinguishers, or is weakened by them, and you could also say that it has an attraction to fire. The heroes could buy some time by lighting a small fire, letting the fire elemental wander over and stare at it in rapture, and then whack it with a fire extinguisher that causes it to lose strength or stop adding fire damage to its attacks.
