Spectrum Art Books?

I was looking at th 2004 Spectrum book and wondered why they don't talk about RPG's themselves? They talk about books, comics, 3-d figures but don't really break off into the video game industry or the RPG industry. Anyone write them and ask them what's up with that?

When you say "talk about", are you just talking about the commentary? Because I have some older spectrum books and quite a few of the peices are for RPGs... like the ever popular Feng Shui cover when Daedelus produced it.

They have a big introduction that talks about the various industries.

I noticed that many of the pieces were from role playing books, supplements, computer game covers and heck, even some Rakham miniature covers so was wondering about actually... acknowledging those things as something outside of the "book trade".

In some of the older books, they have talked about the gaming industry. I haven't seen the newest one yet, but in the past I never felt that they were ignoring the RPG and computer game industry.

They sometimes mention specific games. These are great books for art fans and could be very useful to DMs that enjoy visual handouts.
