spell area templates

does anyone have downloadable/printable spell area affect templates on a website or know of any?
i've done a search of the forums and keep getting dead links.
any help appreciated

Don't remember seeing any on the web but I tend to create that sort of thing in Excel.
It's easy to make the cells square and the right size, then shade the ones of interest, copying the templates in the DMG.

I tend to create room templates like this as well - saves having to muck about with floorplan segments that are never the right shape.

There is a company selling clear plastic templates, but they struck me as a bit expensive ($10 for 3-4 templates, IIRC).

A couple options that my group uses:

1. I found a round microwave plate from a frozen dinner (Healthy Choice?) that's perfect for fireballs.
2. For cones and such, we use a tape measure, 1" = 5'. Just lock the tape measure to the correct distance, pick a center point, then see what's affected.
