Spell Focus and Scribe Scroll

thank you Caliban and Hypersmurf. for the record, no i did not check my DMG as it still sits in whichever store i never bought it from. i don't own one, never did. i've never run a game, nor do i plan to. my GM is of the opinion that players should not own a DMG, and since i almost never have use for one, it didn't seem like i needed to buy one.

this issue came up in saturday's game, i was wondering about it, and sought the answer on the Boards. thanks all for the replies.

<EDIT>
personally, with DCs like that, other than to sell or to let a buddy add a spell to their spellbook, i can't imagine why ANYONE would make a scroll for offensive purposes. seems like a waste of time, effort and money to me.

Unless you look at it from the perspective of the PH, page 78. Only Heighten Spell actually changes the level of the spell. Hypersmurf's example is correct.
