Spell on the run feat?

Gnome

Does there exist a feat anywhere that allows a spellcaster to move, then cast a spell, them move again? If so, where? TIA.

I haven't seen one, but if it had Dodge and Mobility as prereqs, it prolly wouldn't be too bad. I'd add in some other kind of prereq to require a caster be at least, say, 10th level to take it though- it's a pretty darn cool ability imho.

Mobile Spellcasting, in the Complete Adventurer.

There isn't one that I know of.

As an equivalent to Spring Attack or Shot On the Run, with equal prerequisites, I'd probably allow one, though. It's 3 feats which is a serious investment for a spellcaster. Useful? Definitely. But not unbalanced for the cost.

[edit] I really need to take a closer look at Comp Adv and Comp Arc. :o

One more option

You may also want to consider Flyby Attack if you can fly most of the time. Better than Mobile Spellcasting, because it doesnt require a Concentration Check and you can do many different types of standard actions.

Mobile Spellcasting is in someways even better... you could move up to double your movement in a round and still cast a spell. The prereqs are absurdly low, too. You do have to be somewhat careful with the concentration checks, tho.

Flyby attack has the prerequisite of a fly speed, and if you're trying to pick it up on the basis of spells (fly, overland fly etc) giving you a fly speed, thats opening up a can of worms...
