Spell Resistance... how to raise it ?

I have a Githzerai Kossuth Cleric and his SR is a paltry 13 (SR 5 + PC lvl). For a 10th lvl PC (8+2 ECL) that is practically the same as having nothing...

Are there any spells, feats or magical items that allow to increase the Spell Resistance of a PC ? Please indicate the book where I can find them... we are playing Forgotten but I have yet to find anything.

(Any cool feats or githzerai specific items are welcome too )

There is a feat in Book of Vile Darkness that increases your SR by 2 .

The feat in the Book of Vile Darkness gives u a profane +2 bonus on spell resistance and it requires that you be of an evil alignment.

Why do githzerai and githyanki have such low SR ? A 10th lvl caster vs a 10th lvl Githzerai character (8 lvls + 2 ECL) can only fail on a 1 or 2 on the d20. Thats really really horrible, its almost as not having SR.

Cast the spell Spell Resistance for SR 12 + char level?

Actually it's caster level, which makes it even better if you're using it from a high caster level scroll.

Scarab of Protection: This device appears to be a silver medallion in the shape of a beetle. If it is held for 1 round, an inscription appears on its surface letting the holder know that it is a protective device.
The scarab’s possessor gains spell resistance 20. The scarab can also absorb energy-draining attacks, death effects, and negative energy effects. Upon absorbing twelve such attacks, the scarab turns to powder and is destroyed.

Granted it can be destroyed, but it is probably the best spell resistance for the cost (38k) that you can get and it lasts for a long time (barring absorbing too many energy-drains, death effects, and negative energy effects). I may be mistaken, but I believe that you can forgo the absorption (and take the full brunt of the attack) to maintain your Scarab's spell resistance (but I may be wrong on this one).
