Pathfinder 1E Spell resistance

Last session my rules lawyer players said there is no way for player characters to get a fairly score in SR .
Is this true? do you know how to get high values in SR being a character?

I guess it depends on what you would consider to be a high value. Just in the core book, you can spend a ton of cash to get armor that grants SR 19. Other than that, I know dwarves have the option of getting SR (level +5), though it seems kind of like a trap to me.

In general, Spell Resistance is one of those things that players just aren't supposed to have.
