Spell Storing+crit?

the weapon can immediately cast the spell on that creature as a free action if the wielder desires.

It says cast, its doesn't say hit. Because on the same logic that cast means auto hit one could argue this bypasses spell resistance as well. sense spell resistance kinda works like armor against magic, Which i think we all might just agree sounds pretty silly.

But not trying to cause undue flames, that's just how i interpret the wording.
