Spell Templates for Projector Maps

Wanted to see if some of the artists here that have spent a little more time playing in Photoshop than I have, might have a suggestion for me on how to make something.

Like a few others here I have a projector I'm using to project my maps on to our playing surface. I'm using Photoshop 7 to do this, due to the versitility of it and the fact I know it best of the programs I have access to.

What I'm needing help with is making some decent looking webs for a Web Spell Template similiar to the Fireball template I have below.

The only plugin I have currently is Eye Candy 4000 for Filiters.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

JD

I don't have any direct advice, but I know that their are some good Photoshop tutorials for making flame out their. Of course, most of them are for CS2/3, so you might have to adapt them some.

Well its actually not designed to be printed. Its only going to be displayed on my computer and via my projector on to our game table.

The image was generated at 200dpi and will be scaled with the projector/photoshop so that 1" = 5 feet like normal battle mats.

What I need is someone with better art skills to make decent looking webs for a similar template for when our wizards cast Web.
