Spells Database

First Post
How can I search for "spells that have only verbal components of 3rd level or lower that can be cast by clerics"?

Is there any database out there?

Are the spells in a program-readable format?

It depends on your programming skills, take the SRD in html format , its very easy to write a Perl script to display spells like that. I dont know crap about excel but id assume you can import the SRD html and do some kinda formula crap to find what you want also.

Spell Search

The Advanced Search feature in DM's Familiar can do that.

The data in DMF is a Visual FoxPro table which you should be able to read in other programs if you're inclined.

I have an online database of spells that can be searched and sorted. It's all done using XML and XSL, so you can download the files to a laptop or PC and use it offline. The one caveat is that it requires the use of Internet Explorer.

Enjoy!

Charles Feduke used a very old spell database file of mine (my first XML one, actually). It pre-dates the SRD update early this year. You can get the newer version on my site (see sig).

The spell database fields should still match (except spellcraft_dc), so you could use the same XSL.

Now it works offline and looks nice. But could it be made to display only spell names and levels instead of the whole text? The list is a little unclear otherwise.
