In the new Completee Divine Spikes has changed or not?

I really hate that spell, All clerics of the world favored the club against all weapons

Ah. My humblest apologies. Many Americans are simply too lazy to use proper English, and I mistook you for one of them. Sorry. ;-)

Anyway, I don't have my copy of Complete Divine with me, but if I remember correctly, it adds +2 to damage and doubles the critical threat range of a wooden weapon. Is that different from what it was before?

Before he give a +2 enhancement bonus, double the threat and give +1 damage/lvl MAX +10, duration hour/lvl!

are you sure about your information? he loses the damage/lvl?

Spikes is unchanged from the DotF version. (Which, BTW, it +2 to hit, +1/level to damage (max +10) and doubles threat range for 1 hour/level).

It was horribly unbalanced in 3.0 and is even worse in 3.5 now that GMW has been reduced in effectiveness. (And, where I play, it's not just clerics who use clubs if they can get their hands on this spell--it's everyone: fighters, barbarians, paladins, everyone).

GRRRRRRRRRR....

I cant belive it, no more playtesting the spells?

The wizards dont listen the public?

I very very sad with this new....

:(

It's no more balanced for druids than it is for clerics. Druids get plenty of good stuff in the core rules and CD. No need to give them any more.

Just remove it from the Cleric lists. There is no reason for them to have it. Druids only.

Druid with no combat stats. Wildshape into an ape, pick up a big stick. Shillelagh. Spikes. Maybe Nature's Favor if you really want to get dirty.

Instant melee monster. 50 damage or so a round unless hasted. Without feats, without magical equipment. Just a druid with a stick.

Poor fighters.
