Spirited Away

Little Kids

Heya:

I finally saw it last week with my mom. She thanked me for taking her to it since otherwise she would never have seen it. I enjoyed the heck out of the movie. It was odd to me how many really little kids where there, though, like in the 6-8 year range. The theatre was half full, which I guess must be due to the Oscar win. The previews beforehand were also entirely marketed for little kids, too, such as that Eddie Murphy daycare movie, RugRats, etc. I was a bit concerned there'd be a lot whispering or even crying and such, but there was complete silence except for the funny bits. The inevitable scary/weird bits made me wonder what the parents were thinking, though.

Take care,
Dreeble

One of the finest animated films ever made. Of course, anything done by Miyazaki is fantastic.

In addition to Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service & Castle in the Sky also come out on DVD this week.
