Spiritual Weapon and other actions

A quick one:

1. Can a cleric cast spiritual weapon on round one then
cast another spell (or perform another action) round 2
while the weapon continues to attack the same foe?

The reason I ask is:

SRD-Spells

If the weapon goes beyond the spell range, if it goes out of the character's sight, or if the character is not directing it, the weapon returns to the character and hovers.

Yes, directing it is not the sanme as requiring concentration.
