Spiritual Weapons and Damage Type

Since SWs show up as the deities favorite weapon with that crit range and multiplier, does it also deal the damage type of that weapon (Slashing ect)?

Spell damage. Force if I'm not mistaken.

That would be this then:

"A weapon made of pure force springs into existence and attacks opponents at a distance, as you direct it, dealing 1d8 force damage per hit"

A very important damage type as well since it's effective against incorporeal creatures and doesn't suffer the miss chance when striking them.
