Zelda Themelin

If you need basicly background music for your campaign, you already have quite
good suggestions there.
I like to use various movie scores and soundtracks from (usually) older video
games soundtracks Final Fantasy have orchestral tracks and Xenogears have many
good ones. Dead Can Dance has many interesting scores as well. Some anime
instrumentals are very good as well.
I use less mere intrumental stuff nowdays. I use actual set of songs for each
campaign. Helps to remember things and set mood and actual story elements.
Sometimes songs I choose are very literal.
I have one DM currently who does this as well.
What comes creepy tunes I've used here are some from one game,
But idea here is add little supernatural feeling in these lyrics, making them
more literal than symbolic.
Smasthing Pumpkins - The End is The Beginning is... (Watchmen -trailer version)
Sonata Arctica - Juliet (Orchestral)
Mecano - Hijo De La Luna
Sucker Punch soundtrack - Sweet Dreams Are Made of This
Garbage - Afterglow
Muse - Uprising
Angtoria - Do YOu See Me Now
Apocalyptica - How Far
Before the Dawn - Silence
Avantasia - THe Toy Master (the Scarecrow album)
Chester Bennington - Morning After (Underwordl: Evulution OST) used for combat sometimes
Chris Cornell - No Such Thing
Dead Can Dance - Anywhere Out of the World
Evenescence - Missing
Garbage - #1 Crush (Romeo and Juliet saundtrack)
Kamelot - Ghost Opera
Poisonblack - From NOw-Here to Nowhere
Simon & Garfunkel - The SOund of Silence
Cris Cornell - You Know My Name
Lost Boys Soundtrack - Cry Little Sister
Carpark North - The Beasts

(Savatage - Tonight He Grins Again/Believe(think in crazy non-good way)/When
The Crowds Are Gone)
Sugarcult - Hate Every Beautiful Day
Basicly theme song for my dimensional travel character who originally came form
very mundane world
Poets of the Fall - Locking Up the Sun (Party's song while playing Shacled City
in world of Scarn) we Used songs as literal in-game music as party was kinda
bardic, only one actual bard, and had adventure group called Travellers of
Unknown/Singers of Unknown, depending were they adventuring or performing)
Some other songs used...
Gamma Ray - All of the Damned
Queen - The Show Must Go On
Venus - Beautiful Days (you see this song as end tittle of movie Immortel)
Dio - All the Fools Sailed Away
Blackmore's Night - Where Are We Going From Here
Savatage - Not What You See (same campaign, or actually one after it, that was
called Year of the Worm (nothing to do with published one)
good suggestions there.
