Spring attack and ToB maneuvers

Hi Guys, Hopefully this is a nice simple question, so here goes. Can you execute a ToB maneuver as part of your attack whilst spring attacking? I'm thinking specifically of the strikes that take a standard action to initiate and say 'as part of this maneuver you make a single melee attack...'

I'm hoping you can, but the bit about taking a standard action to initiate confuses me a bit.

Cheers

Nope. Spring Attack lets you take a move along with the attack action. So any maneuver which says it takes a standard action is unusable. Maneuvers that take a swift action or immediate action will be usable.

Yeah, no Strikes, but Boosts and Counters (which apply on your action, like Lightning Recover) are cool.

Would the Rabid Mongoose boost work on a Spring Attack? It says it requires a swift action to activate, but doesn't specify what you need to do to get the extra attacks.

It's a Boost, and all it specifies is "additional attacks", so I presume you need to make at least one attack to trigger its effect.

Well, there's always Flyby Attack, which does for flying what you want Spring Attack to do for walking. It doesn't have the AoO clause, so it's no as nifty, but if you really wand to move, maneuver, and move on out, it's the best you have without 3.0 Haste.

You know, I WAS thinking of getting celestial armour for this swordsage build of mine....
