Spring/Summer D&D Drought? 3.5 Publisher Reaction?

Over here at DaemonEye Publishing, I will be spending much of the summer revising the Psionics Companion and Lands of Molokai for 3.5 compatability. Then I'll bundle the revised copys AND the originals together in one .zip file for sale on RPGNow! I'll also be sending out an upadet download link to all those who bought the 3.0 versions so they can DL the new bundles for free.

Remember folks, not all of our customers will, or can afford to, go over to 3.5e as soon as it comes out. If you follow a similar philosophy you'll build more customer support for your products.

All releases I make after Lands of Molokai, though, will be 3.5 only. After all, with a release schedule that seems to be going one product/six months, I think most people will have 3.5 by the time the next release rolls around.

Word of monster face/reach stats changing certainly gives pause to our efforts here at Dragon Scale Counters . We have been gearing up for another print run up art, both to add new counters from the Tome of Horrors, to redo monsters from the SRD that we felt needed to be reworked, and to increase the amount of monsters from the SRD that we actually offered. Now with news that the Pit Fiend will increase to 10x10 (something we felt was right from day 1), its in our best interest to try and figure out whats changing and make preparations for it. We've also got a couple of pdf (and one possible print publication) coming out this spring that may get pushed back until we see the new rules. Despite our small status in the community relative to giants like Mystic Eye, Necromancer, and Mongoose, we're hopeful we can get early access to the rules so that we can get our products out as early as possible with as few rules conflicts as possible.

I'd like to encourage publishers to consider this an opportunity to develop some new products in the interim for the other SRD - the one that came out with the d20 Modern Roleplaying Game. That one isn't going to be changing for awhile.
Lead time on most products is 9-12 months. What you suggest is only feasible if we have modern products in the queue already.
