i know about solstices and dates and such, but for me spring is a growing season, not sun cycles or calendars.

Bahhh! My birthday announces spring and nothing else buddy.

You have a week to go and just as many shopping days. (March 20)

We spent yesterday at the beach in Santa Cruz, splashing in the water, building sandcastles . . .

Spring is grand.

I just want to say that whoever decided spring was a time for change seriously needs to be beaten. Seriously beaten.

Ah, yes. Spring. I have heard of this wacky object. It's a wiley and elusive beast in New England. Today it was sunny and in the 50's, tomorrow we're due for 5-8 inches of snow.

I remember having a college professor, who was English, look out the window one rainy May day and sigh "They tell me Spring in New England is lovely. I've never seen one."

Yeah, in the SanFran Bay Area it's delightful 75-80 degrees out. But I'm having a hard time enjoying this grim spectre of the coming withering summer, and the overall weather pattern is suggesting two words to me: global warming.

I'm a chronic pessimist.
