Spycraft 2.0 questions.

Since the AEG boards are down I thought that I would ask this question here. I have the new Spycraft 2.0 book. It's pretty cool however the gear section is a total beast to understand. Possessions allow you to take certain calibre items. A possessions score of 3 allow a 1/III, 1/II, 3/I. I'm assuming the figure afte the / refers to caliber. Okay what if some items don't have a caliber attached to them. For example it sez that weapon upgrades such as laser sites are chosen from the possessions picks. However a laser sight doesn't appear to have a caliber attached to it.

Any help?

IIRC weapon upgrades do not have a caliber. Each weapon comes with a number of free upgrades. You can purchase additional upgrades if your weapon has left over capacity with gear picks, though I forget the exact rules for this.

There's a chart in the Calibre picks section of the gear tables that says how many options you'll get for trading a calibre pick for options.

Definately nonintuitive, but not too rough once you work out the charts.

What you do is spend the caliber pick and select no weapon, this translates to a set of picks for addons.

Example (without the book here)
Trade in a caliber 3 pick for a caliber 2 pick and 1 add on
or
Trade in a caliber 3 pick for a caliber 1 pick and 2 add ons
or
Trade in a caliber 3 pick for a caliber 0 pick and 3 add ons

All such add ons can be added to a prior selected item.
