Spycraft: I just ran my first game

Greetings,

Well, I for one am glad to hear people are having a good time with Spycraft :). I have to agree that a group of predators are most easily managed by making a single roll (likely with a +2 cooperation bonus). The vehicle combat stuff appears in the Soldier Wheelman Class Guide, but it sounds like Ascending Crane has folded in most of that to his files.

AC, you might consider sending a copy of the bundle in at the website :). The flowchart sounds particularly interesting. You might also want to make sure you've checked the master errata document, as a few things in the chase section have been cleaned up or clarified.

I have to appologize if you find the chase rules aren't nearly as clear as the other sections of the book. My editor is really quite gifted at converting my text to English, but sometimes my mathematics get the best of him :p. If anything seems completely inexplicable, post away, and I'll try to answer your questions. I'm on-line darn close to daily over on the Spycraft forumns (www.SpycraftRPG.com), but I do check in here fairly often

Looking forward to hearing more about Uncle Walt's secret bunker (truth is still stranger than fiction where that place is involved...).

Ahhhh, Morgenstern. I was wondering how long it would take before you showed up. :)

Everything I've done includes the errata and the latest books, btw.

I'd love to send my files to you - tell you what, let me clean it up a bit and it's yours!

Cool, Morganstern perhaps you can look over ACs files for suitability to be posted to Modus Operandi? I know AC wants to avoid any lawsuits :D. I have been holding off on the "me too" since I was hoping to keep this thread going with something other than everyone's emails as I grumpily griped about ;). Bad week :D

P.S. Me too! ;)

Actually, those Chase Cards are not the same ones. I did these particular chase cards, and included a bit more information than those - although I took much of the idea from the Modus Operandi version.

You're welcome, then. ;) The version on MO was my first stab, so they got better after that. I just never bothered to keep the Spycraft ML appraised of my changes. In the end, I limited myself only to what information I could squeeze onto one page. Ease of reference was more important to me than squeezing every last fact on there. And I haven't been keeping up with the releases since The Archer Foundation, so I obviously don't have the Wheelman stuff in there.

At this point, yours is probably the more robust product.

- just here to grab some glory for all of that typing CC

Your original 'Cards were definitely what I modeled mine after, Cthulhu-Chan. But I wanted more information on the cards - so much so that I never would have to look at the book during a chase.

And believe me - I KNOW about all that typing. :) I wanted to find a way to convert your acrobat files into something I could use as a base, but it was too much trouble. So I had to remake the wheel.

PS: To those who requested the files and expected them last night, forgive me. Expect them this eve!

Ah, sorry to hear about the typing, AC. I had the original MS Office files. Wish I could've saved you some work. Ah well, typing helps you commit them to memory in the long run.

Heh, I've got a buddy that works as a contractor at Disney. The employees call it Moushewitz. I'll see if I can get the plans for the underworld. It's likely there are more horrible things than cloning labs.

(for the record, I don't hate Disney. Went there last summer and had a good time. But my imagination goes wild when you start talking conspiracy theories and Disney World....)

Walt had an apartment up in Cinderella's castle btw, accessible via elevator. Could be a control room...

Could have something to do with the fact they have seperate laws, and their own police force? ;)

I had a friend get kicked out once because she was "Stealing Mickey's Magic".... she was wearing black and had piercings

Files sent to those who requested them.

I'm going through them in the next few days - anything I've missed, folks? Anything I could do to streamline them further?

I'll be happy once the Gear/Gadgets/Guns are done.....
