Anyone have a suggestion for DM screens for those with poor eyesight? Mine's not terrible but I HATE squinting at the tiny text.

There are DM screens out there that basically are blank (with pretty pictures) and plastic sleeves, into which you insert pages. Presumably, you could print whatever you need, at the font size you need, on those pages. Obviously, with a higher font size, you would need to prioritize as to what goes on the screen.

I looked around for these at gen con. I could not find them, who sells them? I saw them a few years ago and am kicking myself for not buying them.

Wear glasses?

Seriously, if you find yorself squinting or straining to see things, you should do something about it, otherwise you'll make your condition worse.

Look at my avatar.

I do wear glasses, and my prescription is new. :P

Mine is called "The World's Greatest Screen." It handles four 8.5x11 sheets on each side.

The manufacturer is Hammerdog Games. Their website is www.hammerdog.com.

Which screen are you using?

I used the nice screen that came with either Dragon or Dungeon magazine when 3.5 first came out, and I found it too hard to read.

Now I use the DCC screen from Goodman Games and it is much, much easier to read.

Another option is to purchase a GM screen (or make your own) and enlarge it at Kinko's. Also, it might help you if the screen is at an angle facing you or laying down flat. Then you can use another screen just for "blocking" purposes in front of it.

I don't get it. What is on the screen? Every number I need to know is on my character sheets/DM notes. There are no "to hit" charts or saving throw charts in D&D any more. What are you looking up on the screen.

Of course I haven't used a DM screen in 20 years so I've never quite understood the necessity.
