SRD Now in PDF format!!

The SRD (System Reference Document) is now in pdf format!

This pdf has an extensive table of contents which is clickable, along with Bookmarks!

No longer do you have to go through the various rtfs to find what you are looking for.

The SRD pdf supports copy and pasting and if you have Adobe Acrobat you can make your own changes to it.

This pdf comes in at a whopping 1020 pages (including cover).

This pdf will be updated when there are new releases of the SRD.

Hi all-
How is it that you are able to charge $7 for the SRD? I haven't purchased it, but from the description all that appears to have been done is placing a cover and PDFing it...which allows for you to bookmark it. Or is there more to it, that I didn't gather from RPGNow.com's website?

If you mean from a legal standpoint, because charging for the SRD is perfectly fine under the OGL.

If you mean from a "why $7 and not $1?" standpoint, I can't answer that one.

If it's done right, it's a lot of work - coming up with a suitable design, laying out the tables...

Trust me on that. I'm a learned typesetter, and I've started my own "SRD-PDF-project" (but stopped once I learned that 3.5 is on the way...).

RPGNow seems to be down at the moment, so I can't check if one is available, but I'll ask anyway: is there a demo available? And if not: could you make one available? Just 2 or 3 pages, so that we could see a layout sample.

I'm curious as to why it's over 1000 pages when the 4 hardcovers are less than 1000 and contain a lot of fluff that isn't in the SRD. (Read srdraces.rtf to see an example of "lots of stuff missing".)
