SRD Now in PDF format!!

Hi all-
Yes, that is the one that I'm refering to. And that's all that I was implying is that there has been one available since Nov.
How is Anna's d20M SRD going to be different? Esp. since it'll likely have a $7 tag on it.

To make a call on that (wether Anna's gonna be different) we'd need a demo of the available D20 SRD PDF (as I've stated before).

I've seen the D20 Modern SRD PDF you mentioned, and while it's nice someone put that together I've got to say that it's not very professional.

Meaning: there's a difference between "I'll just throw those .rtf's together" and "I'll do the whole layout thing". I know which one I'd prefer (if $7 is justified is a different matter altogether - but there's nothing wrong with charging for it if it is professionally done).

Depending on how large the d20 Modern pdf would be, determines whether I would just make it as a free download.

As for the current SRD in pdf format, this weekend I'll be fixing it up a bit (bookmark wise) and adding the following:

Monster listings by CR, terrain, size and creature type.

I will make demo available of the SRD pdf probably sometime tomorrow. Have some other work I need to finish up before I can get back to this.

I am a full-time freelancer and spend all day and most of the evening working at either my desktop computer or using my notebook. I take what I do very seriously, since the rpg industry means a lot to me.

SRD....how about OGL

Hi all-
Anna, please don't take my posts to mean that you are <NOT A> professional or <that you> have done a bad job. That isn't the case.
On a related note. You've said that you're updating the monster index, great.
Which makes me think about what I would like most. Of all the OGL monsters, magic items and so forth I'd like to see a complete list of the stuff. Updating monthly. Even charging for these updates.
An example is Green Ronin's Pocket series. I've got all three but they don't include all the spells or all the magic items. Let me as a DM decide which are too powerful or unworthy to be in my campaign (like what AEG did with Feats [they took out the "broken ones"]).
This is what I'd like to see. If I recall, I thought that I saw that Expeditious Retreat was considering something along those lines but haven't seen anythig further.
We'll I think I'll be picking the product up here in a moment or two.

Sorry about the <not a> missing in my last post. Wow, that could really sour things. I applogize.
More than just monsters, spells etc...but since with the SRD you've done most of the work, wouldn't it be easy to now separate the spells from the SRD and add spells from OGL to create a complete Spell List. Updating the spell list each time new spells were out in a new book - like 1x a month. Same with the treasure. That actually could be several separate products. One complete wizard sspells, complete cleric, complete everybody else, complete treasure etc...
The reason that this is a needed product is that Pocket Magica, Arcane and Divine were out of date the moment that they came out. I'd like to see all the SRD spells, all the spells in all the other products as well - including those in PDF. I know it's a lot of spells and products. But I think that there just might be a market for it.

Anna, I picked up my copy. I think you did a great job of putting the .pdf together; I'm very pleased.

1000+ pages. Tables. Free updates.

You did good :)

There are about a dozen different threads involving these ideas. It will not happen. Not only would Anna need to clone herself several times over just to keep up with all of the releases. As soon as someone started making a complete OGC product, the d20 publishers would cut back on their contributions back to the OGC. Some of them would be no longer able to turn a profit and go out of business.

I don't think my parents would appreciate having lots of clones of me running around the house. (They think one of me is more than enought!):D

And I really wouldn't don't have the time to do something like that or be able to afford all the books I'd have to buy to get the content that is OGC. Plus when I think about it, I wouldn't have the room for all the books I'd have to buy.
