Standard Adventuring Gear Packages

In our hayday, we used to have 5 different "Standard Adventuring Packs"

Adventuring Pack I was very much the 'dummy pack' as listed above - it had the bare necessities, and only a little bit of each - it was an emergency kit for when your regular torchcarrier was killed or you were seperated from the party for a short period of time.

Adventuring Pack V was very much the opposite. It was quite encumbering, and had everything you would expect a paranoid dungeoneer to think he MIGHT need once in a blue moon.

The one we saw the most of was Adventuring Pack IV, which was basically the "masterwork adventuring pack", with top quality items in appropriate quantities. It was great for restocking higher level characters before going dungeoneering.

Once exams are over, I'll dig up the originals (this was D&D1e) and rebuild them.

This is exactly what I was looking for, wont really get it in time for this weekend, but is right on the money. I would still be very interested in seeing it when you get a chance. Thanks.

One of my players uses the following as a standard pack:

Backpack
Bedroll
Blanket, winter
Candle
Chalk, 1 piece
Fishhook
Flint and steel
Fork
Iron spike (3)
Knife, small
Mug/Tankard, clay
Oil (1-pint flask)
Plate
Pot, iron
Pouch, belt
Rope, hempen (50 ft.)
Sack
Soap
Spoon
Shovel
Tinder
Torch (3)
Waterskin
Whetstone

It comes out to about 9 gp. I'd add a grappling hook, pushing the price up to 10 gp. Another good upgrade option would be a hooded lantern and a 10' pole.
