I liked her too, latex dressed, dominatrix, succubus, that she was kind of way. The only way for her to be better was chainmail bikini. :)

Given the choices that CNN offered, Khan is certainly the runaway favorite and most obvious choice.

Seconded. Of course, most of the villains from the Trek movies were dumb to begin with. Chang and the Borg queen weren't bad, but not quite the same caliber as Khan.

The others were losers... :D

I would also offer up Mark Lenard in his role as the Romulan commander in the original series episode of 'Balance of Terror' as a good candidate. He was probably as close to an actual mirror to Kirk as far as villains go. There was honor and integrity present in that villain.

Sure, if we're going to expand the choices to all of Star Trek.

Other memorable favorites from the original series are the Klingon commanders, Kor and Kang, both of whom made impacts with their limited roles.

Both Kor and Kang were good characters, both in TOS and their appearances in DS9.

But the most original "villain" of all had to be ..... Tribbles!!! :D

Heh.

... far and away the most complex, best acted, best realized villian in the Star Trek cosmos is Dukat. Having a nemisis character who was so obviously needy was a stroke of genius. The fact he needed Sisko's respect more than he needed to triumph over him....

Maybe this is unfair. Dukat is delevoped over several seasons, whereas Khan has only an episode and a film. Nah. Dukat by a light-year.

[edit] oops. now that I've actually read the CNN article and see its limited to the film villians, I'll heartily agree Khan is King... though I so stand by what I said about Gul Dukat.

Ooh, Dukat was definitely an interesting character. Not always a complete villian either, when he was bad, he was BAD.
