Star Wars for $15!

I wouldn't be surprised if they're expecting a new edition to come out for Ep.3, and trying to get rid of all their stock so it doesn't become worthless later.

No; all signs point to a Clone Wars sourcebook coinciding with Ep3.

Ach, upon closer inspection, it is indeed the non-updated rules. My friend still might pick it up, though I'll lend him my copy of the updated rulebook so he can see the differences.

Bear in mind that Great White tends to sell at like a 15% markup on the MSRP. Or at least, they did, until WotC stopped putting Canadian prices on their books (newer stuff seems to be cheaper... they had Complete Warrior for $2 less than the nearby Coles)... but Star Wars was before that, so yeah, expensive stuff. I'm surprised any chain bookstore would notice the revised-vs-nonrevised thing and mark the old one down appropriately, though.

Oh wow, another PG person. :) I didn't realize that Great White's mark-up was quite so much-- I think I've only bought once RPG book there since moving back up here in September.

I think you are right-- I am surprised Coles noticed the difference, especially considering they don't seem to carry the revised rules. I assume it was a chain-wide move.

Yeah, I don't think they do it quite so much now, but something as old as SW d20 would of course still be at the higher sticker price.

Also, I see you mention "since moving back up here in September." Wouldn't happen to be a UNBC student coming from out of town or something, eh?

I'm a grad student who started here in September. I lived here most of my life but my family and I moved away when I graduated from high school (my family to Delta, me to Victoria). Now I'm back, at least until I finish this degree.
