Star Wars: Force Unleashed (Saga Edition)

Many of those shots in the video seem in keeping with uses of telekinesis in the prequel movies.
Just ramped up significantly, especially the ones towards the end of the clip. After all, in the prequels we only see two masters of the Force (Yoda and Palpatine) breaking out this kind of Force mojo. From what I understand of the game's back story, the main character is Vader's apprentice. It would kinda be like Obi-Wan in TPM dropping a Naboo fighter on Maul's head.

Doesn't fit my personal vision of starwars, I like the more subtle and limited version which we see in the movies.
Mine either.

But read up on the Star Wars expanded universe. The characters do ridiculous things that would make most superheroes run for the hills. I recall some kid of Skywalker or Solo winks out a star or somesuch nonsense.

Then again..."the ability to destroy a planet is nothing compared to the power of the dark side".

My apologies for this slight derailment, but I've read references to the Expanded Universe several times, and I'm curious: is there a sourcebook or something of that nature available anyplace that covers this stuff, or is it more something thats only detailed in the various novels?

The EU is pretty much anything Star Wars that's not in the movies. Comics, novels, video games, RPG sourcebooks, etc.

Wookiepedia indexes things pretty well, according to those who know far more than I about that sort of thing.

As for the "Old Old Republic" sourcebook, that may not have even been started yet, so I doubt there's any way it could be released this year without being a very dodgy piece of work, much like the latter half of Kotor2 was.
Well, they got from now until October. I'm telling you, KOTOR would be a most sought-after RPG campaign book.

Very true... I mean - smashing TIE-fighters with debris? Well, if anything, then this may seep into the saga sourcebook... and give us enough new force powers to make a Wizard-Jedi-conversion for D&D.

I wholeheartely agree! :) I'd love to see a KOTOR book rather than the Force Unleashed ;)
