Star Wars question: Tribal humans -- Where? (Now with picture!)

So I wanna make a human Jedi coming from a savage/tribal background (will start at Scout 2/Jedi 1).

So I ask Star Wars fans on EN World: where could this character come from? I know I can make up a new planet, but I was wanting to stay within canon, sinc I'll be drawing her up for my portfolio and it'd be nice to have canon reflected in my portfolio.

I can think of Dathomir.

Sticking within canon? Pretty much leaves you with Dathomir, which does work if your character is female.

There were A'Shrad Hett and Tahiri, two Human Jedi that were initially raised by Tusken Raiders on Tatooine, so that is one potential avenue for a "savage Jedi." Bit of a stretch though.

Actually, now that I think about it, there's also Ossus, particulalry from the Rise of the Empire era onward, as the survivors of the Cron Drift supernova pretty much reverted to a tribal structure, as shown in the Dark Empire II comics.

Yeah, I think i'll stick with Dathomir. I was confusing the Witches with the Nightsisters (which are only a sect).
