Star Wars Saga Edition:Bounded Accuracy Edition

On Saturday I ran a game of SWSE and houseruled in 5E's proficiency system.

This meant that numbers overall are a lot lower than SWSE as printed and it had some flow on effects. To account for the smaller numbers I used the following.

DCs on force powers are reduced by 5.

Size modifiers for starships are reduced to -1/-2/-5 instead of -2/5/10. This is so you don't have large negatives on your piloting skill to pilot a stock light transport for example.

Proficiency bonus= CR for NPCs. A CR 7 TIE fighter has +3 to hit modified by the ships intelligence score.

Skill focus feat is basically the Rogue/bard 5E expertise ability.

You add your proficiency bonus to all defence. Wearing armor negates the reflex part however.

Flat footed is advantage to hit.

Some talents will also have to be redone along with some feats perhaps the double and triple attack feats. Tempted to roll them into 5E type multiple attacks at no penalty or a modest penalty of -2/-4 as there are class talents to offset those penalties.

Some things like block and deflect might need to be tweaked. -5 after the first attack becomes -2. Negate energy is also going to be harder (dump the half level to damage thing?).

Other talents might turn into 5E class features. For example the mastermind rogue ability of granting advantage would fit very well on the Noble talent tree. Minor class abilities that grant a +1 or +2 bonus would be replaced with a 1d4, +3 or higher could be advantage.

Defence bonuses from prestige classes are also halved.

Anyway this is what I have thought up so far. Eventually I would like to redo all the talents in the core book but bounded accuracy to me would fix a lot of issues SWSE has IMHO. Starship combat being a prime example.
